1 Kings 8:28
Yet have regard to the prayer of your servant and to his plea, O LORD my God, listening to the cry and to the prayer that your servant prays before you this day.
Below is an e-mail that papa sent out to some men in the church. I would have written this post but I thought that it was extremely well-said here.
Don and Cheryl (Jen's parents) arrived safely home Friday night. However, it wasn't without trial. Due to weather, their scheduled flight was cancelled. All other flights were booked. Stand-by wasn't even an option. They were given a hotel room for the night and a next day flight to an airport close to Cedar Rapids (1hr 38min). The Lord had us make a series of phone calls. During these phone calls we were informed that amazingly, 2 seats became available. Problem was that neither Don and Cheryl's hearing is good. Further, they have no cell phone. Result was that they're not responding to their page and we can't contact them. This drove us to some serious prayer. We were finally able to make contact with them - they were able to to get to the terminal - get on the flight - and fly home. The LORD answered our prayer.
Praise the LORD!!
Don and Cheryl look forward to meeting y'all.
