Sister

Hello y'all!

What a lovely, incredible, blessed, wonderful, fun, joy-filled week!  I got to spend it with one of the sweetest people on earth.

My dear friend, Brookie (you can visit her blog here) came for a visit and brought so much joy and sunshine with her!  We had an incredible time talking, laughing together, playing ultimate Frisbee, thrift shopping, browsing antique stores, eating at Chick-fil-A, getting lost driving home from shopping, having a movie night (with our favorite popcorn and M&Ms snack!), heart-to-heart talks late at night, going on morning walks, babysitting, visiting my great grandma, going out for some much-needed (or was it much-wanted?) coffee, taking a self-defense class together with some other ladies, staying up late talking and then eating our favorite chocolate for a midnight snack, looking through old pictures and recalling memories, doing hair and makeup, going outside for a super amazing photo shoot,  playing card games, making pizza, eating ice cream, spending time with her brother Wesley, going canoeing, playing Blokus and telephone Pictionary, so much more!  Having a sister in Christ is such a joyful thing!  The only bad part about her stay was that she had to leave.  :(

Brookie is an incredibly wonderful person who radiates the joy of the Lord.  She is one of the most sweetly encouraging people I know, and I am blessed and privileged to call her my sister.  God is indeed good!

Brookie, your friendship is a priceless treasure, one of God's sweetest gifts to me.  Thank you for always being there for me, even from 100s of miles away.  Thank you for bringing sunshine  wherever you go, for encouraging me in godliness, for being my friend.  I love you dearly and am so grateful for you.  I am excited to see how God will continue to use our friendship for His glory in the years to come.  Keep smiling, pressing on, glorifying God.  I love you!
Matching in white, denim, and turquoise.  So fun!
We had SO much fun trying on hats - sometimes cute, sometimes goofy. :)
Our super fun Scottish caps!  :)

I think that my hat looked something like a feminine version of Abraham Lincoln's top hat.  I thought twice before deciding to put it on anyway.  :)
Gorgeous!
I didn't know what to think of this hat. :)
We dubbed this hat "the mushroom-top".  It is rather, ummm...interesting, don't you think?
Duck faces for no apparent reason. :)
My first time driving without an official adult. Brookie was so sweet and encouraging!
Chick-fil-A for lunch!  Yum!
A late morning walk with the guys.  So fun!

Elijah, me, and Brookie.  Shadows are so fun!
I had a babysitting job one day that she was here.  Here is Brookie holding Cole's baby brother, Cade.We had so much fun playing with Cole, the two-year-old who I babysit.
After babysitting, we visited my great grandma and she told us stories.  On the way back to the house, we picked up a little caffeine.  Delicious!
Wednesday morning was our photo shoot.  Brookie was such a fun, beautiful, easy subject to photograph!
This is one of my all-time favorite shots.
She is so pretty!
And then Brookie took over the camera.  I am not used to being in front of the camera.  :)  Brookie made it tons of fun, though!
My self-timer photos weren't turning out to be very amazing, so I stole Christian away from the house to get some shots of both of us.  Didn't he do an incredible job!?!
Sisters.  <3
Playing Slap-Jack.
Iced coffee while making dinner.  Oh, so delicious!
Wesley came on Wednesday night, and we had a super fun time with him as well.
Jeremiah got these great shots of the four of us for God's World Photography.
We unintentionally matched denim and navy blue.  So fun!
So sweet!
We went canoeing later that day.  I couldn't see my screen so ended up not getting everyone in the picture.  Sorry, Wesley!  :)
Our official Noble-Armour game - Blokus!  :)
And we had to get a silly/depressed picture before they left.  It was so sad to see them go, but I pray that we will see them again soon.
