John 3:16
“For God so loved the world
that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish
but have everlasting life.”
This is the day that men have set apart to show love to others in special and unexpected ways. As we think about the meaning of love and how we may bless others by displaying it to them, let us remember the greatest love, the love of Christ, our King and High Priest who shed His blood that we might have eternal life. He paid the ultimate price for us because we have sinned and cannot stand before the throne of God. Through Him, His blood, and His sacrifice, we can stand before the Father, spotless, washed in the blood of the Lamb. Let us strive to show the love of Christ to our fellow men, not just on this day but in each and every day of our lives. Soli Deo Gloria! To God Alone be all the Glory!
Greater love has no one than this,
than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
Revelation 1:5-6
And from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness,
the firstborn from the dead,
and the ruler over the kings of the earth.
To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,
and has made us kings and priests
to His God and Father,
to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
1 John 4:10
In this is love, not that we loved God,
but that He loved us and sent His Son
