Winter

Genesis 8:22
“While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest,
cold and heat, winter and summer,
and day and night shall not cease.”

Psalm 74:17
You have set all the borders of the earth;
You have made summer and winter.

Icicles, Frost and Sledding

Well, we've made the best of what we hope will be the LAST snow this season.  For my part, there's been A LOT of photography.  On that of the boys, they've enjoyed "sledding" down our driveway (it iced over during the night) on cardboard boxes...
The boys in their fort
Christian had tons of fun! (can't you tell!)
Jeremiah adopted the wise course of
wearing eye protection - goggles!
On a mission.

Apparently, the fancy new goggles didn't help to calm his fears!

Spring in MinneSNOWta

Today the Lord blessed us with more pretty, cold snow.  He much further honored us with some lovely, sweet smelling tulips from some very special friends to cheer our day.  You know who you are - we thank God for you and we love you!

Christopher Love

Is Christ the author of this glorified life?  Then live in magnifying the riches of the grace and mercy that is in Jesus Christ.

Here is grace beyond compare, that Christ brings life to you who brought death to Him!  That Christ gives glory to you who brought shame to Him!  Christ gives a heaven  to you who thought the earth too good for Him!  Christ pleads to His Father for you who contradicted Him, Hebrews 12:3, " He suffered the contradiction of sinners."   Jesus Christ crowns you with a crown of glory to your honor who put a crown of thorns upon Christ's head to His disgrace.  O magnify this grace that shows you kindness for your unkindness, love for your hatred, good turns for the ill turns you have done Him.  You have great cause to magnify the greatness of this mercy.  The patience of a man would have been worn out long ere this with the many and deadly provocations which you have offered to Jesus Christ.  Had not His patience been infinite, it would  have worn out before this day.  O magnify Christ, that He should be the author of eternal life for such unworthy creatures as we are!

JOY

Mama and I went to a bi-monthly meeting of some women from our area who get together and sing hymns that they have memorized over the past two months.  We had a blessed time of glorifying the LORD together and sharing of His undeserved blessings in our lives. We had much joy in the LORD this lovely morning.

Psalm 30:5
... but joy comes in the morning.

The name of the group is "Joy in the Morning",
and that is why I have the scripture above.

Snow Forts!!!!!!

Lately, Elijah has made a hobby out of the massive
amount of snow that has accumulated here in Minnesota.
Every day, after his school is finished,
he goes outside and works on.....

THIS!

Impressive!
The house on our right is unoccupied so almost all of the snow from our cul-de-sac gets plowed into that yard.  All of the snow that we've gotten this year has made quite a pile!
The view form the end of our driveway.
We're guessing that it is around 12 feet tall.
I hope to have more info later this week.
I'm going crazy with my camera, so be prepared for a lengthy post!

One more thing:
There was a guy that was driving past and saw the fort.
He got out of his car, took a picture on his phone
and then said to Elijah, "Dude, that's sweet!" and then drove off.
We thought that it was pretty funny when Elijah told us.

Snow Forts!!!!!! #2

Jeremiah and the little guys also are in the process of building a fort!
Wanna be Texans in Minnesota!
But, of course, this much snow
does not accumulate in TX!

Living Water

John 7:37-39

On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.  He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”  But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
